Support a new initiative to move the needle on poverty in Cambridge.
Together, let's partner with low-income, single-caregiver families in our community to help them pave pathways out of poverty.
Cambridge RISE (Recurring Income for Success and Empowerment) aims to address the growing economic divide and racial inequities in Cambridge, while also maintaining its diverse population and continuing to be a place where families thrive. Cambridge and its key partners will conduct an 18-month Guaranteed Income Pilot Project for single caretaker households with children under the age of 18. The pilot will provide $500 recurring monthly payments to 120 residents within the participant group to increase financial stability, and to understand the long-term impacts a guaranteed income has on local and national economic policy.
Cambridge RISE is supported by a wide consortium of local donors, including universities, the business community, philanthropic foundations and individuals. For a full list of funding partners, please click here.
We thank you for adding your gift to ensure the success of this pathbreaking initiative. Your gift will be directed, in full, to the Guaranteed Basic Income Fund at the Cambridge Community Foundation and is tax-deductible.
If you would like to mail a check, please write "Cambridge RISE" in the memo and send it to: Cambridge Community Foundation, 99 Bishop Allen Drive, Cambridge, MA 02139.
