Honoring a Vision for Racial Justice and Equitable Education

Help Sustain Jinny’s Vision

The Jinny Chalmers Fund for Education Justice was established to honor the life of Virginia “Jinny” Chalmers and to carry on her work as an educator, a mentor, a community leader, and a fierce advocate for racial justice and equity in education.

Students, families, teachers, colleagues, community allies, friends and loved ones have been inspired by Jinny’s passion for excellent, inclusive learning.

Together we can advance Jinny’s work for racial justice and equity for all students and continue to make a difference in her name— funding initiatives that impact the community by expanding access, centering families and teachers, and developing youth leaders.
