Thanks to the power of collective giving, this Fund awarded grants to more than 1,200 Cambridge residents, workers, and small businesses experiencing financial crisis. We also supported hundreds more people in partnership with 27 nonprofits. This first phase of the Fund’s activities has concluded.
Our continued work will focus on supporting nonprofit organizations meeting pressing needs such as food and housing insecurity, mental health concerns, and other COVID-19 related issues. Nonprofits working on creative models for crisis recovery will similarly be a focus for the Fund.
We are so thankful for the generosity of our donors, who underscore that Cambridge is a community that comes together and supports one another in both steady and uncertain times. Thank you for your generosity towards the Cambridge COVID-19 Emergency Fund’s second phase of relief and recovery work, led by our nonprofit partners.
